A vessel in hand-marbled stoneware the colour of red jasper, wrapped in a curved diamond lattice finished with gold lustre.
The lattice stretches and gathers with the form beneath it. Where the belly expands, the pattern opens; where the vessel narrows, the surface tightens, as though the netting itself is under pressure. Red jasper is a stone associated with strength, resilience and grounded endurance.
Made for Synthesis by Studio Shields at Melbourne Design Week 2026, as the inhale to the smaller Lattice Vessel’s exhale. One of a kind.
Materials + Care
Every piece is made entirely by hand in stoneware clay, so expect slight variations in texture, finish, colour and size. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Handle with care. Gentle hand wash advised.
Lamps are wired by a certified electrician to Australian safety standards, tested and tagged, and made for indoor use only.
Shipping + Returns
Shipping. Online orders ship within Australia. Shipping costs $20 to $100, depending on the size of the piece, and is shown at checkout. Standing lamps are too large to post: collect yours from the studio in Carnegie, Melbourne, or ask about delivery. Buying from overseas? Please get in touch for a quote before you order.
Returns. Changed your mind about a ready-to-ship piece? You can return it within 7 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging, with return postage at your cost. Made-to-order pieces, pre-orders and commissions are made for you, so they can’t be returned for change of mind. If a piece arrives damaged, email us within 48 hours with photos.
