How commissions workI think when you are making functional pieces, there has to be a set of rules to consider and follow and then once you address the specifics, you can get creative.

Lead times
Complex pieces and busy times of year can take longer. Because every piece is hand-built, repeats vary a little in size, texture and colour, so if a pair or set needs to match, say so when you enquire.
