Commissions
Made just for you
Tantri Mustika designs and makes lamps, vessels and wall pieces to commission for private homes, interior designers and commercial spaces. Every commission begins with a conversation about the space, the vision and what the piece is intended for.
Each piece is hand-built in her studio in Carnegie, Melbourne, using marbled and striped coloured clays or surfaces carved by hand in patterns.
Working together
Tantri brings her own ideas to every brief, and the strongest pieces come from clients who give her room to follow them.
Commissions suit larger work, such as a lamp or a statement vessel made for one particular home or commercial space. As a guide, they start around the price of her one-of-a-kind works. For something smaller, many pieces in the shop are made to order.
Interior designers, architects and stylists will find trade pricing and loans for shoots on the Trade page.
How it works
Commissions take 16 to 20 weeks from first conversation to delivery. A non-refundable 50% deposit holds your place in the studio schedule, and the balance is due before the piece ships.

Commission questions
What can I commission?
Lamps, vessels and wall pieces, for private homes, interior designers and commercial spaces. Each piece is designed around the room it’s going into, in Tantri’s own visual language of marbled and striped clays, carving and lustre. Lamps are built so they can be serviced for as long as they last.
How much does a commission cost?
It depends on the size of the piece, how complex it is and the finish. As a guide, commissions start around the price of Tantri’s one-of-a-kind works. For something smaller, many pieces in the shop are made to order.
How long does a commission take?
Commissions take 16 to 20 weeks from first conversation to delivery, across four stages: conversation and first concept, design, making, and delivery.
What deposit is needed?
A non-refundable 50% deposit holds your place in the studio schedule. The balance is due before the piece ships.
Can I choose the colours and size?
Yes. Size, colour and finish are all settled with you during the design stage. Tantri will ask about the room and the light first, then suggest colours and a scale to suit them.
Do you work with interior designers and commercial projects?
Yes. Tantri has made commissions for private collectors, interior designers and commercial spaces. Designers, architects and stylists can also ask about trade pricing.
What should I send with an enquiry?
A little about the space, the piece and your timing. Photos or plans help, and the form below has room for a size, a budget and a link to a mood board.
